Who am I?
I’m a 20-something girl who loves pushing her limits. Usually, you can find me running the roads, blazing the trails, and generally getting into as much mischief as possible.
What’s this blog all about?
While finishing grad school, it felt as if life was slipping through my fingers. I spent nearly every waking hour working to finish my degrees, physically, emotionally, & mentally exhausted. Sleep wouldn’t seem to come in the few hours I had for it, so I survived on coffee – my body hated me for it, and my mind craved adventure.
One afternoon, after a frustrating day in the lab, I went for a run. I bundled up in my cold weather running best, and ventured out on my first run in almost 3 weeks. As my legs pumped, and my throat burned from the cold November air, I felt more alive than I had for a few months. The stress melted away, and so did the miles beneath my feet.
As I gazed out at the sun slung low across the horizon, bathing the fields in a golden glow, I realized that it was up to me to take back my life, and that I can live a life of adventure, joy, and wonder one run at a time.
