I love it when things like this happen.
I mention my quest to find a balance between work, training, and healthy eating, and Vega offers to send me some of their products to try out.
Now, that’s what I call a win-win.

Shake and go? Even I can handle that.
Like every other Vega product, these shakes are entirely plant-based, and each packs just under 100 calories, 10 grams of protein, 2 servings of vegetables and a host of other nutritional goodies like omega-3s, fiber, and more.
I’ll be honest, for me the appeal is in the no-fuss approach. I prefer to meet my nutritional needs through whole food sources, but sometimes life just gets in the way. That’s where Vega’s Energizing Smoothies swoop in to save the day.
Just add water (or whatever liquid you so desire), shake, and drink – as far as convenience foods, this one tops the list for me. For someone who’s looking to eat healthy and doesn’t always have time to sit down and eat, this is a great solution for a quick pick-me-up.
I drank the fruity flavors with water only, Vanilla Almondilla and Choc-O-Lot with some new (to me!) almond coconut milk, and combined the Oh Natural with a green smoothie.
I definitely enjoyed some flavors more than others, but none of them were bad. Personally, the Vanilla Almondilla was a bit on the sweet side, but the Choc-O-Lot and Oh Natural were dee-licious! I’ll definitely be stocking up on a few flavors to stash at the office for those afternoons when lunch just can’t seem to happen when I want it to and I need something to tide me over… like today!
